Story behind the artwork :
This piece was an personal experimental piece.
I had in mind that i wanted to use the same technique and style as previous artworks (Shapes in the Water), but taking the details and symbols a little bit further.
I love skulls and wanted to put one in the place of honor in my artwork.
Here are some work in progress shots, from initial drawing to the final gilding.
First drawing for the skull and the flower border.
Once the ink was finished, I added the white acrylic ink to bring light into the picture.
Finished, with gilding, mounted on card and framed in a custom made box-frame.
